I realize I usually don't rate looks--even though they are important to a club. Like many other reviewers, I believe a handsome club builds confidence at address. The reason I usually don't rate it is because I've hit some real good looking dogs (TaylorMade R7 Draw), and some real butt ugly winners (Adams Original Ideas) . These clubs, however, need to be seen in person. Photographs do not do them justice. They have a much more svelte top line than the old R7 series, and at address, they don't look like there is some sort of attachment slapped onto the back of the club (as there is with so many game improvement clubs.) The reason I rate it here is this is a 5 star club, with 5 star looks. Even the oversized head has more of a traditional tear drop shape to it, and the soles of every club almost look as if they sport a custom grind.
taylormade r9 irons is OEM,but it also has high quality. very good.
