The Taylor Made R9 SuperDeep TP driver features a 460cc head with an ultra-deep face and is designed to be a pure player's driver. It includes both Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology (MWT) with two movable weights, allows for up to an astonishing 448 combinations of ball flight. Its more forward center of gravity and lower MOI increase its shot-shaping capability.
R9 SuperDeep tp driver is intended for those players that continue to fight against a high launch and a high rate of spin on their tee shots. Regardless of what loft and customized shaft they have tried to correct for this problem, this type of player realizes that the head design and CG location of the taylormade r9 superdeep tp driver is what is needed. The face depth of the SuperDeep is at the USGA legal limit. This unique design feature along with a more forward positioned CG location allows for even the highest swing speed players to bring down their launch conditions. The additional weights that are offered with the SuperDeep also cater to the technician type of player who will utilize these weights to fine tune both trajectory and swingweight.
New R9 SuperDeep tp Driver by Taylormade was announced at the Japan Golf Fair yesterday for an expected March Release. This 460cc bad boy has the appearance in person of a 400-420cc driver. The first thing we noticed was the letters BBLB in a cool font written on the sole.
Three of us were able to hit the new R9 SuperDeep tp in the test cage and we must say Taylormade has an excellent players driver in this one. On the launch monitor we produced nice low spin numbers and a low mid trajectory, although I didnt mess around with the settings (set to it's stock form) we were suprised at the low launch numbers we were getting. So if you need a lower flight and miss the ball high or low of center this is a good option for you. we do not suggest it to anyone who requires a mid/high trajectory or misses heel to toe.

Great new driver from TaylorMade!! Coolest driver to come out in quite some time (since the introduction of the r7 SuperQuad TP). Not as forgiving as the Supertri, but taylormade r9 superdeep driver is very workable!!
For me, this driver is perfect. The RIP alpha shaft fits my quick transition at the top and the stiff tip keeps the ball low and really lets it roll out. I feel very aware of where the club head is, which leads to a very confident swing.
This driver is aimed at guys who can make good contact with the golf ball off the tee. The sweet spot is small compared to most drivers on the market right now.

I just purchased a r9 superdeep tp driver from you and used it for the first time today. All the previous reviews are right on. Longest driver I've ever used. Feel is awesome and the ball explodes off the face of the club. I had my golfing buddies using also as they couldn't believe the difference in the distance.
