2: Performance & Apearance

The driver features patent pending Straight Flight Technology that uses an extreme external weight pad to move 10% of the clubhead mass towards the heel. By repositioning the centre of gravity this provides a natural rotation through impact. The design of the K15 driver means that the external sole weight pad is largely concealed and is not visible at address. The K15 was built to do one thing well, hit it straight. The Ping K15 driver features the TFC 149D graphite shaft that uses high balance point technology that allows the head mass to increase without affecting swing weight or the overall club weight to allow clubhead speed to remain consistent. This allows the K15 driver to generate higher ball speeds for longer and straighter drives. The K15 has a larger 460cc head design that moves weight away from the clubface to push the centre of gravity backwards and provide a higher trajectory. By increasing the length from heel to toe Ping have also been able to create a larger surface to provide high levels of forgiveness and higher ball velocity.
3: K15 Driver VS G15 Driver
The new K15 driver looks like a slightly flattened G15, the G15 Draw line as also been discontinued as the K15 will be targeted to the player that previously fit into the Draw head. Ping is touting the K15 line as “game-improvement” and the G15 models are still considered “performance”. The feel was very good indeed and due to the longer shallower head the impact sound is more high pitched than the G15 but still gives a powerful quality ping noise. The Ping K15 driver was great fun to hit and if you struggle to get the ball off the ground with your driver then you should definitely try this out as it will get the ball airborne without sending it into the clouds.
4: Some Golfers Reviews
I was very keen to try the out the latest driver offering from Ping as I am a big fan of both the G10 and Ping G15 drivers and the Ping K15 certainly did not disappoint. The K15 is a good looking driver, albeit slightly more awkward at address than the G15, and in trademark Ping fashion gives you plenty of confidence. The Straight Flight Technology certainly delivers and for players who struggle from the tee would certainly benefit from the consistently high and straight ball flight. In fact the fact that it is perhaps a little less workable than it's predecessors is my only complaint and Ping seem to have produced another winner!
Enjoy your shopping.
I started playing February 2010 and purchased the G15 line including the G15 driver. I have part exchanged the latter for the K15 soft shaft and it does what it says on the tin ie. allows a straight drive 90% of the time in my humble hands which adds considerably to yardage and my confidence. I sliced the G15 most of the time. Well done Ping!
i have just been fitted for a K 15 driver and cant wait the ten days till it arrives , i previously used a Ping G2 ladies driver but have obtained a straighter ball flight and an extra 30 yds with this excellent looking club....
